As with most films he is in, Ford keeps things together while creating some great screen presence, here though he is just piped to the post by the equally brilliant Tommy Lee Jones as the detective Samuel Gerald who steals the film from under Fords nose. That said the pair work brilliantly together on screen, especially during the scene where they confront each other on the dam and later in the warehouse at the end. Julianne Moore also puts in a decent enough performance as another detective, while Jeroen Aart Krabbe is convincing if not that menacing as the villain.

Overall the story has been done many times under the same name, but I for one believe that this is one of the best versions of it, especially with Jeb Stuarts impressive script (based on the story David Twohy), Ford and Lees brilliant lead performances and some very memorable scenes (such as the one on the dam) that have led to this great film being parodied many times. The Fugitive is a brilliant film that is worth a watch for any action/thriller fan or any fan of Ford or Tommy Lee Jones.
